I am SO excited that we finally made it out to a bluebonnet field to take some family photos this weekend. The weather was PERFECT in the morning, and the rain held off just enough for us to get some good pics. As I mentioned in my last post, I have wanted to get bluebonnet pics every spring, but we were living in Miami for a while, and then once we moved here, things were hectic. Well, now I can check that off my bucket list!
The kids were mostly good, and with a little bribery, we got a few smiles out of Noah, and Bethany at least looked at the camera. My mom, sister, and adorable little nephew Charlie joined us as well, so we got some good shots of the 3 little cousins. Too sweet!
I usually get a photographer to do our annual family photos in the fall, so as an effort to save some dough, I whipped out my “fancy” camera that I NEVER use, and we were able to get some really good pictures. I’ve found as long as you have good light and are outside, the DSLR cameras are pretty user-friendly. We have this one, which we actually purchased refurbished, and we always seem to get good pics. I’ve never attempted to mess with the settings, and I always say, I’m going to take a class, but for now it mostly collects dust. I need to use it more! #goals.
Anyway, today I’m sharing our sweet little bluebonnet photo sesh. I hope these pics give you ALL the SPRING feels.
Spring has Sprung! Happy April!
